Homenaje a la Madre Tierra
A theatrical production for disseminating philosophical thought, spirituality and appreciation for the arts of pre-Columbian Mesoamerican peoples. This will be an invitation to protect our rainforests, to share the wisdom and values in the art and culture of pre-Columbian peoples and and to preserve seeds in our rural agro-cultures today.
• Through a series of concerts and storytelling where scenery is images (banners) inspired by these cultures and painted by Guadelupe Urbina
• Through an art exhibit of paintings accompanied by written texts by Guadelupe Urbina with stories about the origins of art and culture of these people and places. This will be made into a book for children.
• Through a series of concerts that are part of a journey to seven sacred places in Costa Rica with the music written by Guadalupe Urbina, photographs of the cultures of these places and Mesoamerican tropical forests.
